A Blast from the Past

Captain Pratt is an old favourite and symbolises those non-disabled people who perpetuate the stereotypes of disability by raising funds for 'the needy' - usually by jumping into a bath of cold custard!

The Criptarts

The Criptarts are a regular strip cartoon created by Crippen for the Disability Arts On-line (DAO) web site. As well as a cast of regular characters, there are also regular guest appearances by well known members of the disabled community ... Have you been Criptarted yet?!

Crippen's illustrations

Crippen is often asked to create cartoons to illustrate books and other publications that focus on the varying aspects of disability. Some of these are for training purposes whilst others offer an introduction to disability equality, educating society and exposing the many misconceptions that exist around disability and disabled people.
