Crippen\'s Current Work

Crippen - at the sharp end

This is just one of the many cartoons that Crippen has created to address the heartless attitude of private sector organisations like ATOS who were commissioned by the DWP to assess disabled people for benefit payments ... the DWP have since admitted that thousands of disabled people have died during this process!

Cartooning Tuition and Workshops

Crippen has run cartoon workshops in the past and is currently working on an on-line version that will enable people to participate from the comfort of their own homes ... watch this space for more information

A Blast from the Past

Captain Pratt is an old favourite and symbolises those non-disabled people who perpetuate the stereotypes of disability by raising funds for 'the needy' - usually by jumping into a bath of cold custard!

The Criptarts

The Criptarts are a regular strip cartoon created by Crippen for the Disability Arts On-line (DAO) web site. As well as a cast of regular characters, there are also regular guest appearances by well known members of the disabled community ... Have you been Criptarted yet?!

Crippen's illustrations

Crippen is asked to create a wide range of cartoons to illustrate magazine articles, blogs and web sites across the world. These are as diverse as highlighting the lack of access to services in Afghanistan to identifying those attitudinal barriers that make it difficult for disabled people to use the loo (WC)!

Let them eat Trident

Crippen supports the call for government to stop throwing billions of pounds at the Trident missile programme and use the much needed funds to help the millions of people affected by the cuts to services and benefits
