Access 4: Steps
Cartoon Description
A white man wearing a suit and writing on a clipboard which
has access audit written on it is standing outside an Arts venue.
There are two large steps up to the entrance of the venue.
Opposite him is a young white man in a sporty, self propelled
wheelchair. The young disabled man is wearing a tracksuit
bottom and a black t-shirt with ‘Para Olympian’ printed upon it.
He is extremely well developed in his upper body. The disabled
sportsman is saying to the man in the suit: “A few small steps
aren’t a problem for us disabled!”
Behind him is a small Asian
man in a power chair, looking somewhat perplexed and
reaching out to tap the disabled athlete upon his shoulder. He is
saying: “ … er!”
