Mental Health 4: Prison
Cartoon Description
The cartoon shows twelve separate prison cell
windows, in three rows of four, with a person
behind each one. They are all looking through
the bars of their cell whilst holding onto them.
The people represent a cross section of society
with a mix of gender, age, race and culture.
Written across the wall below each row of
windows is the following statement: “It is
estimated that over 56,000 of the country’s
prison inmates are affected by two or more
mental health issues.”
